To lead and manage the nursing team in the provision of patient-centric and evidence based nursing care, operational efficiency and positive patient experiences
Responsibilities:
> To provide strong leadership and management guidance to the team
> To ensure evidenced based patient care practices are followed as per clinical standards
> To ensure a positive patient care experience by developing employees and creating an environment for team engagement
>?To manage allocated clinical and non-clinical resources in a cost effective and efficient manner to enhance safe patient care
> To ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and clinical standards to ensure continues quality improvement
> To ensure positive patient experiences by developing employees and creating an environment that enables team engagement
> Ensure nursing care documentation is accurate, complete and complies with all relevant quality and regulatory requirement
Skills & Knowledge:
> Demonstrate the ability to implement all five (5) stages of the Scientific Nursing Process (assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation)
> Application of the nursing scope of practices as stipulated in the regulatory framework
> Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
> Demonstrate competence in assessment of all nursing procedures
> Demonstrate competence in the application of key clinical equipment used in the clinic
> Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of patient care and nursing management
> Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of relevant Acts, statutory regulations and directives, and the application thereof to management of the nursing team/unit
> Demonstrate the ability to cost-effectively control expenses
> Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of all relevant external standards and manage compliance to these standards
> Risk management principles, systems and best practice
> Stock control principles and management
> Verbal and written communication skills in English
